Technically the amplifier is full functional 100%, Optically is also in very good condition, all inscriptions well readably, blue displays functioned to 100% and possibly only a few very small customs traces. Amplifier is from nonsmoker household. The SA-8800 is the smaller brother of SA-9800 however in nearly nothing differs.
This is an SA-8800, the second-from-the-top-of-the-line model in the "Silver" series of amps Pioneer made in the late '70s and early '80s. This one is likely from 1979. Back then, it retailed for $550. This one is perfectly restored, and it sounds amazing.
